the park

a small yet simple place located somewhere in the middle of salcedo village, a few blocks away from paseo center, a walk away from my school *mit.makati*. we often call this place "the park". most of my schoolmates sometimes hang out there, too, or take video footages for their dlss projects. there is a starbucks nearby, where we used to sit and talk -have frappes or coffees, til its time for us to go home.

this is where i usually go to chill out with friends, or by myself .. away from schoolwork *well, it used to be*, from worries, from stress. a simple place surrounded by trees - and at night, you’ll notice the lights give an orangey glow to the place, makes you forget the urban life existing around it. there is also a playground where children can go with their yaya’s to play.. people do their walking or sports, such as badminton.. others walk their dogs there every night.. it can also be a good place for lovers to spend time together at, sit on a bench and enjoy each other’s company… *sigh*

but what is special about this place AND i love most about this park are the memories i've had that happened at certain places in it. memories i've shared with people closest to my heart. memories that never fails to bring back old feelings, good or bad. the conversations and laughters, the no-talks-but-enjoying-the-company moments, the comforting talks, watching the kids play, admiring the dogs walking around, enjoying the great ambiance created by the trees and the lights, the soft breeze blowing, flying on the swing, the perfect-hug... and these memories i shall come back to... and reminisce all the good times i've spent there.

i'm planning to drop by there every monday, after work.. who wants to go with me? frappes, anyone?
